Ethiopian Civil Service University Reform and Good Governance Coordination Directorate trained all the Administration Staff on reform tools and other related issues from 13 November to 04 December 2017 at Hidasse Hall. The training program was given in three categories and more than six hundred and ninety four Administration Staff members participated.
Ethiopian Civil Service University Research and Publication Directorate organized a two days Research Review Workshop from November 29 to December 1, 2017 at ECSU.
The Review Work shop was held in two categories and a total of 27 Research works done by Ethiopian Civil Service University internal staffs and researchers were presented.

Ethiopian Civil Service University School of Graduate Studies organized a PhD defense program on December 29, 2017 at DLC. Candidate Mr. Azime Adem Hassen , presented his PhD dissertation paper entitled “An Analysis of Agricultural Taxation in Ethiopia the Tax Responsiveness Tax Compliance of Rural Farmers and the Nexus With Rural Expenditure”at the presence of both internal and external examiners and he defended for the questions forwarded by the examiners.
Ethiopian Civil Service University Center for Public Financial Management Training and Consultancy in collaboration with Ministry of Finance and Economic Cooperation of Ethiopia organized thirty days training program on internal auditing from December 30, 2017 -January 29, 2018 at ECSU. On the training about eighty trainees recruited from different public organizations and institutions were participated.
EFDR House of Peoples’ Representative Human Resource Development and Good Governance Standing Committee discussed with Ethiopian Civil Service University top management body on 31 January 2018 at Senate Hall. The discussion focused on different issues that the Standing Committee observed during its three days visit at the university.

Ethiopian Civil Service University Top and Middle Managers held asset registration program on 14 February 2018 at Hidasse Hall.On the program professor Fikre Dessalegn, president of ECSU, said it is important to apply asset registration principle at country level. It protects public assets from different kinds of embezzlement and closes the door of corruption and enhances good governance. For this, we fully support the ideas of asset registration and apply it with great commitment, he underscored.
Ethiopian Civil Service University signed Partnership agreement with Addis Ababa City Administration Sanitation Administration Agency on February 19, 2018 at ECSU Senate Hall. The agreement focused on supporting Addis Ababa City Administration in the areas of Solid Waste Management.
Ethiopian Civil Service University held the First International Conference under the theme of “New Agenda in Governance and Policy for Sustainable Development” on February 22, 2018 at Hidasse Hall. The conference was jointly organized by African Institute of Governance and Development at ECSU, Addis Ababa University and Institute for Poverty Alleviation at Yensei University.

Ethiopian Civil Service University Gender and HIV/AIDS Issues Directorate gave half day training for 1-5 change army chairmen and secretaries on March 15, 2018 at Diplomacy Hall. The training was organized in connection with the International Women’s Day.
Ethiopian Civil Service University Training and Consultancy Coordination Directorate organized five days training program for Consultancy Service Divisions staffs from March 05 to 09, 2018 at Ethiopian Management Institute Bishoftu Branch. The training was organized to build the internal capacity of the Consultancy Division of the ECSU Training and Consultancy Service Wing and widen its contribution at national level.
Ethiopian Civil Service University held one day National Consultative Meeting with Stakeholders on Urban Planning Preparation and Its Implementation on March 23, 2018 at Hidasse Hall. The program was organized by Center for Urban Management and Transformation Training and Consultancy and stakeholders from Regional governments and Addis Ababa and Diredawa City Administration, Ministry of Urban Development and Housing participated in the meeting.
